A Grand Grüner Event with Theresa Pichler
Thursday, October 4th
Calling all fellow Grüner Veltliner lovers, mark your calendars for Thursday, October 4th because we've got a line-up you won't want to miss. We are thrilled to welcome Theresa Pichler as she makes her FIRST stateside trip for our FIRST Austrian wine dinner in the Gold Bar highlighting Weingut Rudi Pichler!
Barbara Lynch Collective executive wine director Cat Silirie has a deep love for Pichler Wines, having traveled to their world-renowned family estate several times. Join Cat as she and Rudi's daughter, Theresa lead an evening of armchair travel along the mighty Danube to the Wachau region of Austria, a breathtakingly beautiful place to visit and the most famous white wine region of Austria.
Cat's adage, Grüner goes with green has never rang truer than with these wines - they are superbly food-friendly, especially with the bountiful produce of peak harvest season in New England. Menton chef de cuisine Lucas Sousa will create a four course menu highlighting the season's bounty to pair with seven Pichler wines including side-by-side pairings of Grüner Veltliner and Riesling that are grown in the same vineyard site, and considered to be the grand cru's of Austria.
Theresa, following her passion for all facets of viticulture, is poised to follow in her father's footsteps by honoring the family legacy and carrying Weingut Rudi Pichler into the future. Join us on Thursday, October 4th to raise a glass!
P.S. : Theresa will have some surprises in store, including rare library wines that she's smuggling in to taste... but you didn't hear that from us!
